Since launching our new tool for sharing photos and stories on the website a few months ago, we have been receiving some excellent shots of Forno Bravo ovens “in the wild.” The creative oven enclosures and outdoor kitchens/entertaining areas that our community members come up with continually amaze us! We hope these photos and testimonials inspire and delight you as much as they do us.

Installation by the Masonry Artisans — And Mungo on Pizza Guard Duty

Lisa’s crew did a fantastic job with their masonry work, incorporating rock native to Montana so that the oven’s enclosure blends right into the landscape. She reported that she is very pleased with how the project turned out! Now that it is done, her dog, Mungo, is on guard and will ensure that no stray bite of pizza goes to waste! (Mungo is a gorgeous half Malinois – half German Shepherd working dog…She tells us he’s “kind of famous.” You can find him at @Mungolious.)   >>Learn More about the Giardino Here

Thoughts from the owner:

“One day in March 2017, I decided it would be cool to build a pizza oven. Without prior knowledge or building skills, I went to the Forno Bravo site, and a bit of youtube, and within a month I was digging a hole in my backyard with hopes to create something awesome. Again I have never built anything more than a paper airplane prior to taking on this task, so when I say anyone can do it, I mean it…It just takes a little patience, some motivation, and a super supportive wife! It took a little outside help on the thin stone work, and just under a year to get the whole thing completely finished, but I’ve been cooking pizza since day 3!

I can’t say this enough…I LOVE THIS OVEN!!!!!!!! It gets used to cook almost everything, it looks cool, and it has a green roof.”

*Editor’s Note: We’ve never seen a green roof on an oven enclosure either and this one looks amazing! >>Learn More About the Casa2G Here

Napolino70 Fully Assembled Pizza Oven – Custom Tiled for Jerry F – Johnston, IA

Napolino Pizza sitting on ice bags counter

A Napolino Installation in Progress using the Ice Bag Trick

This photo shows Jerry’s new countertop Napolino being installed using a method aptly named the “Ice Bag Trick.” He was very excited to share his installation techniques with other Forno Bravo owners. In short, he used a BobCat with forks, a few friends, and 4 ice bags to get the job done. The whole installation took him less than an hour!

To provide a few more details: After opening the crate, Jerry first removed the white styrofoam from the bottom of the oven. For the move itself, he put several layers of packing foam in front of the forklift’s metal backstop to protect the oven in case of sliding. Then, using the BobCat, he placed the oven and pallet on the prepared counter. The next step was to slide the forks directly under the oven with doubled-up padding at each corner where the forks touched the tile edge. (The padding was the wrap-foam from around the oven in the original crate.) Next, he gently lifted the oven a few inches to pull out the pallet and insert the ice bags in its place. As the ice melted, he adjusted the oven orientation slightly. It settled perfectly into place. Jerry reports, “We’ve made almost 100 pizza’s in 2 weeks since installing.” Now that’s a happy owner and enthusiastic pizzaiolo!  >>Learn More About the Napolino Here

Giardino70 Modular Kit – Stucco Enclosure – Mario M – Thorton, CO

Night Time is the Right Time to Enjoy a Homemade Pizza

Thoughts from the owner:

“It’s very satisfying to make pizzas — not only to the exacting standards of Napoletana-style, using our own garden-grown San Marzanos, arugula, etc., but also to experiment with other various toppings. I grew up in an Italian family and always appreciate a good pizza, but now we make excellent pizzas, right at home! It’s fun to entertain guests on the back patio, and we have barely scratched the surface of other things we can cook and bake in this awesome oven.” We love your simple stucco finish, Mario! Good job.

Casa2G100 Modular Kit – Tiered Stone Enclosure – Tom H – Louisville, KY

Stone Enclosed Casa pizza oven and wood storage

Loving this Stately and Elegant Stone Casa Enclosure

When the team asked Tom H. what were his favorite things about his new oven, he kept his answer short and simple. “How it cooks and how it looks!” We couldn’t agree more. With multiple hearths, an integrated arch, and very stone perfectly placed, this build is a masonry masterpiece. The subtle grey hues of the stately old-world enclosure also mesh seamlessly with the picturesque backdrop of meadows and Dogwood trees. This oven could have been transported straight out of a castle courtyard in Europe. Bravo!

Napolino70 Fully Assembled Pizza Oven – Custom Tiled for Francois-Alexandre B –  Quebec, CAN

Creative installation of this Custom Napolino with its Attached Herb Garden

The owner of this beauty also runs an excavation company. He made use of the equipment on hand to help with an unconventional, but very successful installation. Francois-Alexandre worked with our Canadian dealer, Outdoor Pizza Ovens to coordinate his purchase, and our customer service team to finalize the design of black tile with a cinnamon stripe.

We love the herb garden that he installed in the center of the seating area, right next to his Napolino Pizza Oven. That has to be the freshest basil and tomatoes you will find anywhere!
