Forno Bravo Introduces Insulfrax insulation for pizza oven builders
Mar. 5, 2005. Windsor, CA. Forno Bravo, LLC, a leading provider of Italian-made pizza ovens for pizzerias, restaurants and homeowners, introduced Insulfrax to the Forno Bravo Store. Insulfrax calcium-magnesium-silicate fiber is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 1000°C (1832°F), and exhibits improved in-vitro solubility characteristics compared to Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fibers.

It is a super-efficient, high heat insulator, with the advantage of being water soluble — which is good from a health and environment perspective. You should use a mask when using a product such as this, but it’s better than traditional woven ceramic fiber insulation. It is an extruded, heat-resistant material that is woven into a blanket.

Insulfrax can be used by both Forno Bravo pizza oven and fireplace installation and for Pompeii Oven builders.

It is available from the Forno Bravo Store.
