2019 Photo Review From Our Wood Fired Family

Dec 19, 2019Posted by Forno Bravo

As we wrap up 2019, we love looking back at the ‘family photo album’ and samples of the wonderful, wood fired shots and stories sent to us this year by the community of Forno Bravo owners and oven builders. Here are just a few of the many terrific submission we received through our contests, Facebook page, and Photo Gallery link. Our oven lines are so diverse, and our owners and enthusiasts’ tastes run mild to wild, rustic to streamlined,  and tile to stucco to stone that it is very difficult to just choose a few favorites. We love them all, and know you will too!

Do you have a Forno Bravo, Bella, or Pompeii oven? Send us your story and pictures and maybe we can make you ‘Facebook Famous’ in 2020 too! Let’s keep the inspiration coming!

“Let’s Cook” – Vesuvio100 – Warren & Monika P.

First, we have the Warren and Monika’s outdoor kitchen extravaganza! Cuciniamo means “Let’s cook” in Italian, and this beautiful space is set up to do exactly that!

Monika wrote to tell us, “Our outdoor kitchen is finally done! My husband always wanted a wood fired pizza oven, and after doing lots of research, we decided to go with Forno Bravo. We are extremely happy with our decision! We knew we wanted the pizza oven to be the focal point and sparkle of the kitchen. When the oven arrived, we designed the kitchen layout to make sure it will be the star of the kitchen, and we couldn’t be happier how it turned out! Thank you Forno Bravo for building us the most beautiful pizza oven!”

“Bread Maker’s Dream” – Primavera70 – Guilherme B.

Guilherme loves making rustic hearth breads — crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside! He also enjoys making unique styles of pizza like this Brazilian 4-Cheese Pizza. The Spanish Sand stucco color of his Primavera70 wood fired oven blends beautifully into his backyard and the size is perfect for his family and baking needs. He wrote to say “Thank you for the great oven!” …You are most welcome!

“Stone Mason’s Masterpiece” – Casa Modular Pizza Oven Kit – Andrew P.

Andrew is a master stone mason, rock wall builder and educator in Connecticut. He took our Casa pizza oven kit, combined it with his extraordinary masonry skills and created a work of art! We love how Mother Nature added her own special touches to make it as beautiful in the wintertime as in the spring and summer.

“An Oven for the Ages” – Pompeii42 – Roger W.

When Roger W., who lives in the Boston area, decided to build an oven, he wanted to construct one for the ages. First, he went to the source, and spent time in Pompeii, Italy exploring the preserved ruins of their ovens to get a feel for the originals. Then he came home and built his own using the Forno Bravo plans and help from our Forum members.

As he describes his oven, “The dome is fire brick, insulated with ceramic fiber. The surround is made from fireproof materials, steel framing and concrete backer board, covered in real stone veneer. The roof is Vermont slate and all the flashings are copper.” While he uses it to bake many things and experiment with recipes, he said, “Mostly the oven provides a great excuse to invite folks over for a decent piece of pizza and a nice glass of wine.” We completely agree!

Assembled and finished in May, 2018, Kathy  C. shared that she and her husband have used their oven almost every Saturday since it was built! Now that’s a pizza making machine!

“Pergola Paradise” – Vesuvio100 – Jane S.

Finally, Coffee black tiles and black grout pop on this Vesuvio100. Jane wrote,”We bought the oven in 2018 and installed it in the fall. We didn’t get to use it much until Spring, 2019. We finally got our patio area finished and the Vesuvio 100 was the highlight of the patio…there at the head of it all. We love your products! Thank you so much!!!” We love when our customers become our friends as well. Happy cooking!
