Pizza and Obsession Gallery
Welcome to the Pizza Quest Photo Gallery!
As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words”, so we’re going to let these photos, and the ones to come, help tell the stories for us. The Gallery will serve as our Pizza Quest photo album, capturing the flavors of each journey we go on.
We also want to encourage you to send us your best pizza photos and we’ll create a page for our favorites–be sure to give us the who, what, where and any other relevant background info. To post photos and join other discussions go to the PQ Forum and create threads, or join them and start sharing! Also, don’t forget to friend us and post photos on the Pizza Quest Facebook page!
Pizza and Obsession is our first Gallery page. It is a compilation of photos from our maiden quest, during the late summer of 2009. We launched from Los Angeles and made our way up the coast to San Francisco. If anyone doubted that there was good pizza on the west coast, think again! We not only found what Peter calls “memorable” pizza, but also, great fish tacos, coastal oysters, and gourmet, trend-setting ice cream along the way. To see the photos and a list of the places we visited, click “read more.”
Here is a list of places pictured below and some of the people we met along the way.
Los Angeles: La Brea Bakery, Pizzeria Mozza (Nancy Silverton, Matt Molina),
Central Coast: Taco Temple, Morro Bay (owner and taco master: Adam Pollard), Cass House Inn, Cayucos (Chef: Jensen Lorenzen), Ruddell’s Smokehouse (Jim Ruddell)
San Francisco: Pizzeria Delfina (Owner and Executive Chef Craig Stoll, Head Pizzaiolo Anthony Strong), Tartine Bakery (Eric Wolfinger, baker), Bi-Rite Creamery, Tony’s Pizzeria Napoletana (owner and Master Pizzaiolo: Tony Gemignani), Stanislaus Tomatoes (Marketing Director: Steve Rousse)
Enjoy the album!

Good Morning Brad,
In Los Alamos, California there is a place called Full of Life Flatbread Pizza that is very good. Besides their regular flatbreads here is a sample of their flatbread specials. Local Calamari Flatbread Tomato Sauce, Soffrito, Marjoram, Parsley and Aioli
Root’s Farm Leek Flatbread with Happy Acres Chevre and Walnuts Thyme, Cream, EVOO and Black Pepper
AWESOME! 😀

Philip,
Nice oven project! I love your backyard. I’m sure you are putting that thing to good use. I hope to join “the club” some day soon.
Brad
Thanks for your kind comments, over here we call it our front garden, and we sure put it to good use. Very usefull when our son decends on us with 20 humgry friends, so easy we let them make there own pizza, so it gets quite competitive. Good luck and come and join the club soon.
