Spinach in the Oven

Course Vegetables

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch spinach well rinsed, raw not frozen
  • salt
  • extra virgin olive oil or sesame oil
  • sesame seeds or sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Cut the spinach by hand just so the leaves are not too big to chew.
  • Arrange them on an extended oven proof dish.
  • Add salt and sprinkle some oil; just enough, you don’t want your spinach to fry or to swim in oil.
  • Put them in the oven for a few minutes and let them just break a good sweat.
  • Optional: add sesame seeds or sliced almonds

Notes

You may use blanched or raw asparagus or string beans in any combination. They’re all delicious. Be advised people will fight over them!
