Olive Harvest

The olive harvest starts in early November and lasts until late December. With luck, at times the weather will be good, though in general, the olive harvest can be cold and wet. They say that olive oil and wine were chosen for Italy by the gods, as the grape harvest comes in the autumn, which after a brief period of rest and festival, is followed in early winter by the olive harvest.
