Curing Your Oven

Overview
Although it may seem that your oven is dry by the time you are finished with installation, there is still a great deal of water that needs to work its way out. It is important at this point that you cure your oven slowly by building a series of seven increasingly larger fires. Building large fires in your oven right way could compromise your oven's longevity and ability to cook well, and cause serious damage.

Your first fire should be the size of a daily newspaper, then become a little larger every day until you have a good size fire using 2"-3" wood by the end of the week.

Congratulation. Your oven is complete, and ready for Cooking.
