New Cook Book Service About to Launch
Hi Everyone,
For those of you who love cook books, especially older, hard to find classics, here’s a link to a podcast about a new site about to launch called CKBK. The founder, Matthew Cockerill, talks about it on more detail here .
There’s also a Kickstarter link for those who want to get in on the ground floor of CKBK here. Even if you don’t want to kick in, the link gives a nice capsule summary of all the things this site will provide, such as access to thousands of curated cook books, and hundreds of thousands of recipes collected from them all. They are even offering my first book, now out of print, Brother Juniper’s Bread Book, which is how I heard about them.
Anyway, I wanted you to know about it and also to give you a quick update on our upcoming launch on Blueprint, the streaming network that grew out of Craftsy.com, where I have three courses on bread baking, as well as a free mini-course on making artisan pizza at home (click here for a link to that freebie — over 300,000 people have watched this one!). This is why I’ve had a hard time keeping up with my regular posts here (though we will continue here too, including upcoming interview with Jonathan Goldsmith and others as well as video webisodes, guest columns, and recipes). Blueprint, which is owned by NBC, will soon be posting a 7-episode series of Pizza Quest, combining the best of our past webisodes along with some new, never seen footage, in a longer format (average length 12-15 minutes). We’re in final editing and filming now so I expect these to hit the air sometime in early fall. I’ll announce the actual launch date once we receive it from them. For more on this very cool network, click here. We’re very excited about this new series and relationship with Blueprint, as you might imagine, so stay tuned for more details as we get close to launch.
I’ll be back soon with a new post and updates. Till then, may your pizzas all be perfect!!
Peter
