2019 in Review – A Celebration of Wood Fired Photos

As we wrap up 2019, we love looking back at our ‘family photo album’ and samples of the wonderful, wood fired shots and stories sent to us this year by the community of Forno Bravo owners and oven builders. Our oven lines are so diverse, and our owners and enthusiasts' tastes run so mild to wild, rustic to streamlined, that it is very difficult to just choose a few favorites. Tile, stucco, or stone, we love them all, and know you will too!

Talented Chefs Rock Forno Bravo Napoli Ovens at the 2019 Las Vegas Pizza Festival

The inaugural Las Vegas Pizza Festival was a huge success, with over 20 artisans slinging pies and 1,500+ people attending! Forno Bravo was thrilled to provide wood fired ovens for two of the chefs, Alex White of Yukon Pizza and Carmine D’Amato, executive chef at Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana.

Chef Alex focused on his sourdough pizza crust and Chef Carmine featured a VPN pizza. Couple those winning pies with a premium wood fired oven like the Napoli120, and you have some mighty fine product on your hands. Both stations had folks lined up for their pizza all day!

Feast of the Seven Fishes – An Italian-American Christmas Eve Tradition with a Wood Fired Twist
Food, faith, and place have been inextricably and deliciously intertwined throughout history. One example is the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Traceable back to Southern Italian immigrants in New York as early as the 1800’s, this grand Christmas Eve meal exclusively features seafood and its accompanying dishes. A few years ago, Mark Francis invited about 3 dozen guests to share his family’s version of the fishy feast and then used his Toscana80 wood fired oven and a 28lb pink grouper to take it to a whole other level!  See this fun example of ‘Fish Gone Wild’,
