We hope everyone has been making the most of these summer days: firing up the oven, enjoying outdoor living, and eating some delicious food. But summer doesn't mean work slows down.

We've been very busy with Bella Outdoor Living, finishing up the website and preparing the new stainless steel pizza ovens and grills for customers. Read more to the right.

We've also been working on the wood-fired recipe front, and are happy to announce that Chef Bart Hosmer is joining the Forno Bravo team. He'll be sharing his recipes via the Community Cookbook and social media. Learn more about Chef Hosmer below, and be on the lookout for his posts starting in September.

Finally, behind-the-scenes work has been taking place in the Forno Bravo Knowledgebase. We're expanding this resource for oven owners and those looking to purchase an oven. Find out more below.

Chef Bart Hosmer Joins Forno Bravo


Exciting news regarding wood-fired recipes! Chef Bart Hosmer soon will be adding his recipes, photos, insights and 30 years of industry experience to the Forno Bravo online community. His weekly posts will be shared in our Community Cookbook and social media outlets beginning in September.

Chef Hosmer grew up with California farmers' markets and the kitchen as his playgrounds. Moved by the seasonal bounty of the San Francisco Bay Area and three culinary tours of Italy, Hosmer strives to complement old world techniques with modern flavors. He looks forward to sharing classic, innovative and approachable recipes that you can try out with your own Forno Bravo oven. 

As opening executive chef at Parcel 104 in Santa Clara, California, Chef Hosmer received critical acclaim for his seasonally inspired dishes. Other culinary experiences include Terra in St. Helena, California; Lark Creek Inn in Larkspur, California; and the Flying Fish Café at Walt Disney's Boardwalk in Orlando, Florida. International chef stints include China, Japan and Puerto Rico.

Chef Hosmer currently serves as Marriott's senior director of culinary for the Americas. He lives in Potomac with his wife and two teenaged children, who serve as his official pizza taste testers.
