Default Progress in San Luis Obispo (36" Pompeii)

Applied finish coat of stucco this weekend and had two pizza parties! Oven is functioning well but I am still learning. I have uploaded photos to: http://picasaweb.google.com/STidik[/URL]

Lots of hard work...looks like a beautiful addition to your yard... and you'll have many years of enjoyment out of it. Can't wait to have some pizza.

Steve, is this it? I don't think I've ever seen a black stucco WFO. It looks FANTASTIC! I love the black with the exposed Stainless Steel vent. This is one sharp looking oven.

I looked thru your Picasa web album (yup, I'm fixated on your proper wine pours for some reason) and I notice no smoke smudges outside of your opening on the outer arch. You've done a good job with the vent opening and that transition. Your 1st pizza's look nice too. Congratulations on nice build.

Cheers, Dino

Steve,

Your oven looks magnificent! Hope mine comes out nearly as nice. You wouldn't happen to be a Raider fan would you?

John

My oven is almost done! Finished the slate, and had the granite installed last weekend. I found an old european oil jar for $94 to hold the pizza tools. On the outside of my entry, I have exposed yellow fire brick. I plan to add a coat of refractory mortar to change its color to gray. Does anyone think that there is a chance of the brick, wicking water into the insulation during a rain storm? If the water is a potential problem, then my plan is to make flashing out of very thin SS to cover the entry brick.
Thank for everyones help

Your oven looks fantastic. Your attention to detail really shows. That's a classy oven! Your night time photos of your backyard turned out great.
