 Dorset Thank you all for the great advice on this forum. I am now the proud owner of a block stand and a poured concrete hearth. | Re: Dorset John, I can recommend Midland Refractories Ltd, West Bromwich, if you google for them you will et their full address and telephone number, email is sales@midref.com I bought all my materials from them firebricks, fireclay and insulation blanket, they were very helpful. I've just completed the dome, you can see my progress on The Batty Blog
