Default Keep the floor clean during construction.

Dome Building Tip #254: Place some corrugated cardboard on the floor to protect the cooking surface during dome construction. Even when soaked from dew and mortar, it will protect the surface from mortar drips and dropped bricks.

I didn't .

No protection = extra work.

If you do enjoy extra work(like me). ... No need to cover your floor.
