for them.\u00a0 They were all sitting at the table playing a fierce game of Attack Uno.\u00a0 I figured it was safer for me to give them all some space as the family battle unfolded.\u00a0 This may seem to be an ordinary game, but my family, is not ordinary.\u00a0 This can get serious.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>We had grilled up some Tri-Tip the previous evening and had a good amount of left overs.\u00a0 I thought I would take advantage of this favorite ingredient of mine that I had laying around.\u00a0 I&#8217;m often just as happy with my second round use of a good Tri-Tip.\u00a0 One of our favorite meals is a Pepper Steak,<div id=\"attachment_838\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-838\" class=\"caption alignright size-full wp-image-838\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0520.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"Chop up some jalapenos and saute to sweat out some of the heat!\" align=\"right\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0520.jpg 640w, class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chop up some jalapenos and saute to sweat out some of the heat!<\/p><\/div> which features left over Tri-Tip, Chopped Bell Peppers and Onions all sauteed up with a little oil, salt, pepper and any other herb or spice we feel like throwing in.\u00a0 Toss this with pasta and you have a happy English Family.\u00a0 But, this time, I was going to take this to the flatbread.<\/p>\n<p>My kids fought valiantly with their grandparents, their uncle and their mother.\u00a0 Uno is a high stakes game that lifts my kids up and brings everyone else down to where they are all on the same level &#8211; the battle field.\u00a0 I started to chop ingredients and get a head start saut\u00e9ing items for the pizzas I was going to make later on.\u00a0 I sliced up<div id=\"attachment_839\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-839\" class=\"caption alignright size-full wp-image-839\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0526.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"Saute until just right!\" align=\"right\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0526.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0526-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-839\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Saute until just right!<\/p><\/div> some onions, mushrooms and a couple jalape\u00f1os that I had in the fridge.\u00a0 As the war waged on over at the kitchen table only a couple of yards away I chopped, sliced and snapped pictures in relative peace.<\/p>\n<p>The onions and mushrooms saut\u00e9ed up without a hitch, or so much as a notice from the family.\u00a0 Then I decided to saut\u00e9 my sliced jalape\u00f1os.\u00a0 I noticed a little tearing as I did this.\u00a0 But, mostly I noticed the Uno crowd getting louder.\u00a0 They weren&#8217;t just getting louder due to their competition though.\u00a0 It started with a single cough.\u00a0 Then I heard a couple more.\u00a0 As someone<div id=\"attachment_840\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-840\" class=\"caption alignright size-full wp-image-840\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0538.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"This was some nice left-over tri-tip that was cooked to a turn and sliced thin for the pizza!\" align=\"right\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0538.jpg 640w, class=\"wp-caption-text\">This was some nice left-over tri-tip that was cooked to a turn and sliced thin for the pizza!<\/p><\/div> would shout out some game attack charge, it was proceeded by a cough.\u00a0 Then, the chatter was also followed by a cough.\u00a0 Pretty soon, the whole group was laughing and coughing as the game got more and more intense.\u00a0 All at once, we all realized what was happening!\u00a0 The smoke from the saut\u00e9ing jalape\u00f1os had filled the room with whatever make those babies hot and was bringing tears and coughs and a lot of hilarity to this family gathering!\u00a0 They spiced up our food later, but definitely had a spicy effect on the game too.\u00a0 Needless to say, when we all realized what was going on, we laughed our heads off as we then opened all the doors and windows.<\/p>\n<p \/><div id=\"attachment_841\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-841\" class=\"caption alignright size-full wp-image-841\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0540.jpg\" border=\"0\" title=\"Adding the finishing touch.\" align=\"right\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0540.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/03\/_mg_0540-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-841\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Adding the finishing touch.<\/p><\/div>It was all worth it.\u00a0 I had some nice rare pieces of Tri-Tip and when it all came together with the jalape\u00f1os, I created a pizza that was &#8220;perfect&#8221;.\u00a0 I know that perfection isn&#8217;t really possible, but  <!--more-->  I&#8217;m using that word to describe the results anyway.\u00a0 Saut\u00e9ing the jalapenos takes a bit of the heat off them, so they are more balanced and still give notice that they are there.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a wonder you don&#8217;t see more versions of a Cheese Steak Pizza on more menus.\u00a0 I know it&#8217;s not traditional.\u00a0 I know you won&#8217;t find it a traditional pizzeria like Pizzeria Antica, or any other classic Neopolitan pizzerias.\u00a0 But, it&#8217;s good.\u00a0 Here at Pizza Quest we are looking for what is good, or great, or what might be considered perfection, even if that is only for a fleeting moment in time that then sets a new high point that we will now seek to overcome again and again.\u00a0 We are after what is satisfying and fulfilling.\u00a0 We are chasing that moment when you either make that &#8220;perfect&#8221; pizza, or taste it.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><div id=\"attachment_842\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-842\" It looks ordinary.  Maybe that&#8217;s why it worked so well for me?<\/p><\/div>This pizza was one of those experiences I was chasing.\u00a0 At it&#8217;s most basic, it is a great sandwich that is fulfilling.\u00a0 At it&#8217;s most complex, it&#8217;s a beautiful blend of great ingredients that become more together than they were apart.\u00a0 I think this perfection we seek, or the goal we seek in such endeavors is sometimes about balance, other times it may be about a statement.\u00a0 But, what it&#8217;s always about is being memorable.\u00a0 As I sit here thinking back about this particular pizza, I can taste the memory.\u00a0 I can smell it.\u00a0 And, perhaps best of all, I want to go experience it again.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t call that perfection, but for some reason this pizza came close for \/>Quality canned Tomatoes <br \/>Grated Mozzarella<br \/>Sliced and saut\u00e9ed onions <br \/>Sliced and saut\u00e9ed mushrooms<br \/>Sliced and saut\u00e9ed jalape\u00f1os<br \/>Sliced pieces of grilled tri-tip steak<\/p>\n<p>For this pizza, I simply used the tomatoes crushed out of the can.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<h3>The Prep and Build:<\/h3>\n<p><div id=\"attachment_844\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I&#8217;m just getting hungry again&#8230;<\/p><\/div>Build the pizza by placing the Crushed Tomato Sauce on the dough.<\/p>\n<p>Add the grated Mozzerella<\/p>\n<p>Add the saut\u00e9ed Mushrooms<\/p>\n<p>Add saut\u00e9ed Onions<\/p>\n<p>Add the sliced grilled Tri-Tip Steak<\/p>\n<p>Add the saut\u00e9ed Jalapenos<\/p>\n<p>Place pizza into a pre-heated (550 Degree) oven on your pizza stone.\u00a0 If you have it, switch the oven over to Convection Bake.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Check the pizza in about 7 Minutes.\u00a0 When it&#8217;s done, remove it.<\/p>\n<p><div
