{"id":6625,"date":"2021-06-25T10:11:24","date_gmt":"2021-06-25T14:11:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/?p=6625"},"modified":"2021-06-25T11:10:29","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T15:10:29","slug":"pizza-talk-nina-mae-levin-the-founder-of-stony-hill-pizza-on-marthas-vineyard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fornobravo.com\/pizzaquest\/pizza-talk-nina-mae-levin-the-founder-of-stony-hill-pizza-on-marthas-vineyard\/","title":{"rendered":"Pizza Talk: Nina Mae Levin, the Founder of Stoney Hill Pizza on Martha&#8217;s Vineyard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi Everybody,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welcome back to Season Two of Pizza Talk!!<\/strong> We took a longer than expected break due to a crazy busy schedule and the reopening of commerce, so we&#8217;re going to kick off this new season with some episodes that were recorded in the fall of 2020, when things weren&#8217;t looking as hopeful as they do now, so you will hear references to pivoting and resilience, but these conversations are, nevertheless, evergreen and full of great pizza demonstrations, and a chance to glimpse into the heart and souls of some amazing people.<\/p>\n<p>We begin with <strong>Nina Mae Levin<\/strong>, the founder of <em>Stoney Hill Pizza<\/em> on Martha&#8217;s Vineyard. \u00a0Our discovery of Nina was due to two previous interviews that we ran last year, with Ed Levine and Glenn Roberts, who both live on the Vineyard and, essentially, told us we had to meet this talented star and hear about her amazing corn and shiitake pizza that had blown both of their minds. \u00a0So I tracked her down just as she and her team were about to wind up their summer season and go into planning for the next year, which is now!!! \u00a0Of course, we learned a lot more about Nina, as well as her talented chef (the one who &#8220;holds it all together,&#8221; according to Nina), Georgia Macon, and they demonstrated <strong>not<\/strong> the corn pizza, because the corn season was over and they had moved on to other things, such as their own take take on hoagies. But fear not, because Nina shared her corn and shiitake pizza with me for inclusion in my upcoming book, out early next year. More about that project later but, for now, enjoy my conversations with Nina Mae Levin and Georgia Macon.
