Wow–it’s August already, which is really hard to believe (other than by this relentless cross country heat wave, which confirms that it is, indeed, August). So, this week we have some fun new material to post, including a Peter’s Blog on Tuesday about my trip to Philadelphia and the incredible pizza I had at Osteria.<\/em> Brad English is also lending me a photo or two of his recent visit to Tony Gemignani’s hot new NYC pizzeria, 900 Degrees <\/em>(great name!!!), and I’ll be commenting on that as well.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday we’ll be posting a new recipe by Brad, who has been in a tomato frame of mind all summer (or, as he calls them, caprese<\/em>, which means he’s in his deep Italian phase that we’ll happily enjoy with him). So Wednesday is Caprese day.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, we have a short webisode interlude for you as we prepare for next week’s final session with Chef Jensen at The Cass House Inn. This week’s little “palate cleanser” features the ladies from The Brown Butter Cookie Shop in Cayucos (you saw on quick shot of their place in last week’s webisode). I loved their cookies so much that I want to give you a closer look.<\/p>\n

And on Friday we have a new guest column from our friend Wes Bailey on his own pizza quest, the beginning of a new feature in which we’d like to invite you, our viewers and fellow questors, to share your own stories.<\/p>\n

As you can see, even in these dog days of summer (I can’t get that crazy song out of my head but, no, she’s wrong, the dog days are NOT over!), there’s always something new here at Pizza Quest.<\/p>\n
