The Canadian people are truly amazing to me, and they are as obsessed as I am about good food.\u00a0 They love to have a good time, they work hard, and, best of all, they have a great sense of humor.\u00a0 Ask anyone where to get a good bite to eat and you&#8217;ll be in for a surprising amount of information.\u00a0 On top of all of that, British Columbia is paradise on earth.\u00a0 I supposed you have to be okay with rain, but this whole region &#8220;The Pacific Northwest,&#8221; is one of my favorite all time places.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><div id=\"attachment_333\" style=\"width: class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC<\/p><\/div>I have been able to bring my family up to visit with me numerous times while working in Vancouver.\u00a0 A couple of years ago, when I had a weekend off, we took a trip over to Victoria.\u00a0 One of my favorite parts of the trip was the ferry ride through the smaller islands as you make your way across the straight.\u00a0 We were lucky enough to see an Orca Whale along with many other beautiful sights.\u00a0 If you ever get the chance to visit the area, I highly recommend it. <br \/><div id=\"attachment_334\" style=\"width: class=\"wp-caption-text\">That&#8217;s a BIG breakfast crepe!<\/p><\/div>On our last morning in Victoria, we wandered into a modern little French Creperie.\u00a0 We sat at the counter and watched the chef make crepes and had some nice conversations.\u00a0 By the way, if you like coffee, this entire region is the place to go.\u00a0 You could do a Cappuccino Tour and never run out of places to visit.\u00a0 Of course, the cup of regular coffee I had here was superb.\u00a0 Sometimes, the simplest thing just hits the nail on the head and sticks with you.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>I noticed that there was breakfast pizza with eggs and a Tyrolean bacon.\u00a0 Tyrolean bacon!\u00a0 What was that?!!<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>I hook easy, as I have written before.\u00a0 I had never come across a breakfast pizza.\u00a0 Well, I can&#8217;t lie about that.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve actually eaten pizza for breakfast for as long as I can remember.\u00a0 But, that&#8217;s another type of breakfast pizza.<\/p>\n<p>This breakfast pizza was perfect.\u00a0 It had eggs, that appeared scrambled, but were very evenly spread across the pizza.\u00a0 Of course there was cheese and a little onion and that Tyrolean Bacon.\u00a0 The bacon was thin, so it broke off when you bit into a slice &#8212; not taking the whole piece off with one bite.\u00a0 My family loved it!\u00a0 I love this kind of food memory and will forever remember this day because of the fun we had, but, in a way, even more so because of this food &#8220;stamp&#8221; that accented our time together.\u00a0 At least that&#8217;s how my mind works.\u00a0 If I smell a hint of Eucalyptus I am instantly back in Santa Barbara where I went to college; now, the smell of bacon, Tyrolean or not, and eggs brings me, in my mind, to Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>I wrote in a previous post about the Mother&#8217;s Day pizzas I made for my wife a week or so ago.\u00a0 I do this once in a while, if I&#8217;ve made dough and have an extra after making pizzas, I&#8217;ll leave it for the morning.\u00a0 The hard part about a breakfast pizza is that you have to get up early &#8211; get the dough out of the refrigerator and get the oven preheated at least an hour or, really, two before everyone else wakes up.\u00a0 But, it&#8217;s worth it.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>I made two different versions of Shanna&#8217;s Mother Day Breakfast Pizza.<\/p>\n<p>The first was a scrambled egg with cheese pizza with some nice thin bacon torn into bite-size pieces spread over the top.\u00a0 The second, was a fried egg pizza with the same cheese and bacon toppings.\u00a0 I used Peter&#8217;s Herb Oil as the base for both.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the basic recipes for Shanna&#8217;s breakfast pizzas.\u00a0 But, you can see, this is wide open.\u00a0 You can add anything you want into them.\u00a0 When I eat scrambled eggs, if I have toast within the vicinity, it becomes the transportation vehicle for the eggs.\u00a0 Breakfast pizza is just a built in system.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><strong><em><div id=\"attachment_337\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/>Peter&#8217;s Herb Oil<br \/>Scrambled Eggs with a little red pepper and scallions.<br \/> -Saute red peppers and scallions for a minute or two and pour eggs in.<br \/> -Scramble the eggs until just short of solid.\u00a0 They will continue cooking in the oven.<br \/>Fontina Cheese<br \/> -I have some delicious Bel Gioioso Fontina Cheese and this went great with the eggs.<br \/> Thin Sliced Bacon<br \/> -Pre-cook the bacon in a pan, or in the oven.\u00a0 Cook just short of &#8220;done&#8221; it will finish in the oven.<br \/>Fresh Arugula for a garnish<\/p>\n<p>This is a terrific pizza and great breakfast!\u00a0 Remember that everything will cook again in the oven &#8211; so keep that in mind when pre-cooking everything.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><strong><em><div id=\"attachment_338\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brad&#8217;s Fried Egg Pizza<\/p><\/div>Brad&#8217;s Fried Egg and Bacon Pizza<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My wife doesn&#8217;t like runny eggs, so I have to admit this second one was for me!\u00a0 I&#8217;m a typical guy &#8212; I admit &#8212; even on Mother&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 But hey, I did get up really early.<\/p>\n<p>Peter&#8217;s Classic Neopolitan Dough<br \/>Peter&#8217;s Herb Oil<br \/>Fried Eggs<br \/> -I pan fried a couple of eggs to get them to set up and cook enough in the<br \/> oven.<br \/>Grated Mozzarella Cheese<br \/>Thin Cut Bacon<br \/>Sliced Red Peppers<br \/>Sliced Scallions<\/p>\n<p>This is simple enough to make.\u00a0 I will say that I pre-fried my eggs a little too much this time.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t get as much of a runny yolk I was looking for, after it came out of the oven.\u00a0 Next time, I will set the bottom of the egg and maybe not flip it at all.\u00a0 This is a good example of how you have to play with your ingredients and find the balance to make things the way you like them.<\/p>\n<p>Since the eggs were fried on this pizza, I added some thinly sliced red peppers and scallions to top the pizza for
