Hi Everyone,<\/p>\n

I received an e-mail from Maxwell Kessler, a film and television producer, letting me know about a new TV series that he and a friend have written. They are currently raising money through an IndieGoGo campaign to fund the pilot episode and are also making a different kind of request.\u00a0 Here’s an excerpt from his email:<\/p>\n

Later this month, I am producing a sitcom pilot about the friends and families who work at a strip mall in a working class Boston suburb.\u00a0\u00a0The cornerstone of the series takes place inside a family owned pizzeria called Cobelli\u2019s Pizza. In the show, plaza matriarch Margaret Cobelli runs the restaurant with her doofus grandson, Jeff.\u00a0\u00a0As time goes on, it\u2019s clear that Margaret isn\u2019t going to be around much longer.\u00a0\u00a0Jeff then has to make the choice as to whether or not he\u2019s going to grow up and take over the family business or if he\u2019s going to let Cobelli\u2019s turn into a Dominos or Pizza Hut.<\/em><\/p>\n

Right now, we\u2019re raising the last bit of money to fund the pilot by running an IndieGoGo campaign.\u00a0\u00a0To draw attention to our campaign, we\u2019ve been having our family and friends of friends go to their favorite local pizza shops in their neighborhoods, take a picture of themselves eating a slice, and then saying a few words about what they like most about the place.\u00a0\u00a0So far, we\u2019ve had people from all over participate, even going as far as Germany.\u00a0\u00a0We\u2019re also expecting posts from Vietnam and Korea next week!<\/em><\/p>\n
