I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York in the traditional, blue-collar, Italian-American, Catholic family.
I attended Xavier HS in Manhattan and the University of Scranton and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors in Finance, and worked for 9 years on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. My wife, Rose, and I have been married for 5 years now and have a beautiful little girl named, Lauretta Rose, who’s favorite word and food is, “Pizza”.
I really love reading about history and recently just finished writing a book about my father, entitled “In the Best Of Hands.”  In it are all his hand written letters home to Brooklyn from his tour in Vietnam (July 1967-July 1968). Around every month of his letters I tell a story about the different aspects going on in his life, how he used them in Vietnam and how, now, I have used them in my own life, including the house he grew up in, going to church, watching/playing sports, Sunday dinners at Grandmas, the 40 years of hard work he put in for the City of New York, the family dynamic, etc. I gave him the rough draft on the 50th anniversary of his returning home from Vietnam. I am currently working on having it self published and would like to donate half the profits to a worthy veterans organization. Still trying to pick the proper one.

Vision Statement

Pizza Quest is a site dedicated to the exploration of artisanship in all forms, wherever we find it, but especially through the literal and metaphorical image of pizza. As we share our own quest for the perfect pizza we invite all of you to join us and share your journeys too. We have discovered that you never know what engaging roads and side paths will reveal themselves on this quest, but we do know that there are many kindred spirits out there, passionate artisans, doing all sorts of amazing things. These are the stories we want to discover, and we invite you to jump on the proverbial bus and join us on this, our never ending pizza quest.
