Welcome to Forno Bravo Pizzeria Times

Welcome to the first issue of Forno Bravo Pizzeria Times -- an informative newsletter featuring Italian-made pizza ovens, ingredients and accessories, along with with ideas for making Vera Pizza Napoletana, connecting with the Italian pizzaiolo community and finding great training schools.

The "real pizza" trend is continuing to grow. With increasing awareness of authentic Italian pizza and wood and gas/wood-fired ovens, national press coverage of high-end pizzerias and marketing by the Vera Pizza Napoletana Association, real pizza is only going to get bigger. If you are thinking about starting a wood-fired, authentic, Italian, or gourmet pizzeria, or you want to add high-end pizza and wood fire roasted dishes to your restaurant—Forno Bravo can help.

In this inaugural issue of Pizzeria Times, we feature the Modena W, a top-of-the-line Italian-made Pizza Oven, UL Listing for the Forno Bravo ovens, and Pizza Expo 2009 in Las Vegas. If you are attending the show, we hope to see you there.

Regards,
Forno Bravo

Visit Forno Bravo at Pizza Expo 2009 in Las Vegas

portable oven There will be two different places you can see Forno Bravo ovens at Pizza Expo 2009. There will be a Forno Bravo Modena G gas-wood combo oven in the GI Metal booth (#447), where Gianluca and Salvatore, pizzaioli champions from the Italian Squadra Nationale Acrobatica Pizzaioli, will be tossing pizzas. And there will also be Forno Bravo ovens used by The Fire Within (booth #1159/1161), who will be showing their newest portable wood-fired ovens for catering parties, farmers' markets and festivals.

Swing by GI Metal and watch the incredible pizzaiolo acrobats—and see a video of your pizza making skills on YouTube. GI Metal will be video taping visitors and the professionals working together, so you can see how good you look.

Then, head over to see The Fire Within to check out the latest in portable catering ovens. They wrote the book (literally) on mobile wood-fired ovens, and they can show you how to build a profitable catering business. Be sure ask about their book Rolling in the Dough.

Again, that's GI Metal (booth #447) and The Fire Within (booth #1159/1161) at Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, 10-12, 2009.

Forno Bravo UL Listing

logo logoThe Forno Bravo Ristorante and Modena W Series ovens are listed (certified) to the UL737 and UL2162 standards for wood stoves and wood-fired pizza ovens for commercial installation. UL2162 is the newest and most stringent standard for wood-fired pizza ovens and only a small number of ovens have been tested to that standard. Your oven installation should be inspected by your local building department, and listing to this new standard is essential.

We think the Forno Bravo Modena and Ristorante offer the perfect balance of being authentic Italian ovens, but with the U.S. certifications that make them the logical choice. You can have it all.

Some of our competitors are not listed at all, and a few are only listed to UL737, which could cause serious problems for a restaurant owner.

You can see the Forno Bravo Listing on the Intertek Web Site. Just type in Forno Bravo. For more details on Forno Bravo and UL, you can read our UL Listing page.
