Happy holidays from your friends at Forno Bravo!
For many of us, the holiday season offers an opportunity to reflect upon the past year and to pass along our gratitude to those who helped make the past 12 months fun, enjoyable and meaningful. In this spirit, I'd like to thank all of you who are part of the Forno Bravo community for a wonderful 2009.
Our company and product lines continue to grow at a rapid pace. This year, we introduced a number of new items, including:
I'm also especially happy to report that the Forno Bravo community is thriving, both online and off. Some notables:
- 24 million page views on FornoBravo.com since launch (nearly 1 million per month!)
- Closing in on 10,000 Forno Bravo Forum members and 70,000 postings
- 60,000 eBook downloads and thousands of dollars raised for charity
- The opening of our new facility in Monterey Bay — lots more space and easy access to the Bay Area for customer pick-ups
We realize how lucky we are to have customers who continue to inspire us. From your pizza recipes to oven cooking tips to creative outdoor kitchen designs, the Forno Bravo team loves hearing from you.
Looking ahead, we're excited to introduce our new Giardino Series of modular ovens. (See bottom for a special related offer.) And the Forno Bravo Expo 2010 will be a fantastic way for the wood-fired community to get together in the early part of the year. We hope to see you on the Monterey Peninsula in February; more details are below.
Here's to happy customers, oven builders, and of course, great pizza,
James

Which Modular Oven Is Right for You?
In addition to the Giardino series (see right for details), we offer three other families of easy-to-assemble modular ovens. Each Forno Bravo oven kit features a circular dome, enclosed refractory cooking floor, vent, stainless steel chimney, door high temperature mortar, and complete dome and floor insulation. In other words: everything you need to assemble a pizza oven at your house! (You provide the stand and enclosure.)
To see how easy installation is, watch our new Installation Animation.
Not sure which oven is right for you? Here's a snapshot of each family:

Small Is Beautiful! The New Giardino Ovens

Just in time for the new year, we're thrilled to introduce a new family of residential modular wood-fired ovens: the Giardino Series. We promise... building a custom wood oven has never been so easy. These wonderful ovens can be assembled in minutes, while still allowing a homeowner, builder or DIYer to build a fully custom enclosure. And starting at $1,250, it all comes at a price much lower than you would think.
The ovens are available in two sizes: 24" and 28" rounds, both with a 5" oven landing. The smaller size, the Giardino60 (24"), can bake one pizza at a time (or hold eight loaves of bread or two small roasting pans). The Giardino70 (28") has 36% more cooking space and room for two personal pizzas at a time. It holds more of everything, including bread, roasts and multiple roasting pans.
Fabricated using the industry's highest quality refractory and insulating materials, the ovens offer the perfect balance between size/weight and cooking capacity. With the industry's fastest heat-up times (20 minutes) and excellent heat retention, they are just what you need for perfect pizza making, hearth bread baking, roasting and grilling.
Three reasons the Giardino Series rises above other residential wood-fired ovens:
1. The oven dome is produced using a 38% alumina (81% alumina and silica) refractory material cast in a two-sided, vibrated form – a higher quality process than other residential pizza ovens.
2. The oven floor is made using large 12"x12" commercial-grade (2,700psi compressed and 2650ºF kiln-fired) floor tiles – superior to any other residential oven.
3. Each Giardino kit provides everything you need to install your oven, including high-tech ceramic oven dome and floor insulation and a terracotta chimney. There is nothing else to buy!
Download the Giardino Specification Sheet (PDF) for more information. You can find out which size is right for you, see the top, front and side oven views, and get further details on all of the Giardino oven features.
