Default waynes new years progress

Up to 4oo degrees now for my incremental curing of the dome. Shown in the first attachment is a unit for building my fires around. Still tinkering with the design a bit. I have brazed a plate at bottom to hold ashes and a few other changes today as well, will post the final version when its done.

Second attachment shows the steel suround being built and base for my slate work at front of landing.

Third attachment shows the dry fit of slate with its steel suround. The slate will sit up a little higher so its flush with the steel banding perimeter.

Very nice Wayne.

Are you getting excited about cooking yet?

I smell pizza!

Hi Wayne,

That slate looks great and I really like the metal surround - nice wood rack too!
I'm glad to hear your fires are progressing. You'll be eating pizza in no time!

Sarah
