All, I just completed my first oven but I'm struggling trying to find a paint and I'm concern about possible fumes... Can I simply limewash the dome? Any other suggestions for paint or stain in the US? Thanks for any replies. R/ Javi

Limewash should work fine. Do 1 part white portland to 2 parts lime and thin to the consistency you want (thin enough not to be over an 1/8" thick tops).

Ordinary acrylic outdoor paint works well.

Thanks for the responses...as soon as I find the lime I might go with that, I haven't had any luck with the local stores so far

I used exterior acrylic masonry paint the colors are limited because of the base they use so I put an additional coat of ordinary exterior acrylic paint in a color that I liked.
