| I am trying to make it simpler: pizza 6-26 023 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! and pizza 6-26 024 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! This is 8" inside. Or maybe I better use 8*12 or similar? This is 42 inch oven. In this design there would be no vent, however, I could fairly easily create something. I was thinking that maybe for the wider flue, 12 inches wide, the vent would not be needed? Thanks!

| I'm sure it will 'cook' but I' not so sure about the flat 'ceiling' to the right and left of the flue. I could be wrong but I'm thinking you'll have smoke swirling around the entrance looking for a way out. Especially if the fire has just been started. Again, that's just my take on it but maybe there are some oven builders out there with similar builds like yours that would say it's fine. Rick
