Default Used brick splits to complete dome

Well, The dome is finally done, I guess we'll see soon enough how everthing holds together once the fires start. We used brick splits to finish the dome, at the time it seemed easier than cutting a bunch of trapezoids. The cuts were not so simple but, the pieces stayed in place without mortar which made the work a lot easier. We didn't even have to build a form for support so, all in all, I think it went pretty well.

look forward to your first fire pictures. Remember small fires for short periods of time when starting. Gradually build up - this is not something you need to rush
