| A few people have made smoke chambers out of the clay flues and I love it!! I am trying to create a template to do something similar, but I keep ending up the the cut pieces to the outside. I know that I am probably just having a "moment," but what am I missing? It is clear that cutting the flue will be a pain in the neck, but I am willing to do it if I could just figure out the cuts needed. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to look for step-by-step instructions? Thanks for all help--I wouldn't have been able to lay the first brick without this site!! Claire |

| I believe I saw that in dmun's geodesic dome thread there was a description of how to cut a rectangle flue to make a smoke chamber. |
