| I'm just building the flue support using 2 pcs angle iron on firebrick piers either side oven opening - just wondered if expansion/ contraction of the angle over its length might be a problem, or am i just looking for something to worry about. Should I use a softer mortar around the metal maybe? any comments thanks Steve |

| It's a workable design: it's been done many times successfully. I wouldn't worry about it.
