Default FB Blanket

For a 43" oven would three rolls of FB insulating blanket be enough or too much?
Thanks

I built a 42 inch using 2 blankets. It was 2-3 layers thick and a little more in some places. (I also added some vermiculite on top of that) You can't have too much.

So two rolls/blankets together gave you 2-3 layers, or 2"-3" overall?

I am planning on adding 6" total insulation on the outside of the oven brick, for a total of 10". I imagine 2" FB blanket plus 4" perlite/cement mix would be about fine. Is this a good ratio?
Thanks.
Kim

Kim - I think you would be happy with that amount. Are you doing a dome or an enclosure? The reason I ask, if it's an enclosure, don't add the portland.
