Default Dome Spacing

I will lay my floor this week for a 36" low vault oven. Using low/med duty yellow firebrick for the floor and dome.
The dome will sit around the floor instead of resting on the edge.
Any ideas on how much of a gap to leave between the floor edge and the dome?

Thanks

Default Re: Dome Spacing

I pretty much butted mine up close. Due to the irregularities of the radius cut, you get a little wiggle room by default.
