- Oven opening W = 16"
- Oven opening H = 8.5"

or

Option 2:- Diameter = 32"
- Interior height = 14"
- Oven opening W = 16"
- Oven opening H = 8.5"

Oven Hearth:
ill be building my FORNO on a metal stand and tray.

- if i just want to put Vermiculite insulating concrete how thick should the layer be?

You should use four inches of vermiculite/perlite concrete or two inches of super-isol (cal-sil) board. I used HW insblock19, a mineral wool product, which came in two-and-a-half inch thickness.
