Default brick work between angle iron and dome

I'm looking for some detailed instructions about the transition where the angle iron support meets up with the dome. The brick work in this area is especially the question I have. I'm sure I can make it work but the experience of others is the purpose of the forum; I hope! Photos would be especially helpful.
