| Just a few pictures of the roof on. I have a few more curing fires and then we can make pizza. Thanks everyone for all the help. This forum and the people on it are great. We still have to get the doors on the wood storage area in the back and get the scaffolding down, but we there is light at the end of the tunnel.

| Thanks for the comments everyone. The back is for wood storage.....I had to make it that deep for the oven so wanted to put it to good use. Mr. Jim. The third flue is a fake.....just to balance the chimney out....a midflight adjustment as we balanced the size of the chimney. Hopefully this week I finish the cure and can make pizza over the weekend. Thanks again.

| The completed Oven....completed the flashing and put the door on the back. We had our first pizza's. They turned out great! I did have a little smoke after moving my fire from the center to the side.....any suggestions. Do people build there fires more to the sides?

| Fabulous! I'm envious. As far as smoking goes, after the dome has gone white I don't see much smoke at all in my oven - kind of a catalytic convertor thing going on. All smoke and no steam right now - it is early in your oven's life? During heat up - my fires tend to be closer to the center on start up and get pushed to the side after they achieve bigness. They take a little while to get reorgainzed after the push but smoke only for a few minutes. Also I use that propane powered weed burner to help start my fires - so I get a little help to achieve a good burn quickly. Christo

I think most of us move the coals and throw on a new piece of wood. It helps to cook the top, and it throws some light on the subject.... very helpful for cooking at night. BTW- the pie looks great! Dave
