| Hello I'm in UK. Typical over here, finding 'anything' to build the oven is a nightmare ![]() I can get 6" and 7" diameter pipe for the chimney quite easily and at a reasonable price. However, 8" is difficult to find. Has anyone used 6" or 7"? with good results? Any advice will be appreciated Mick |

| I made a 36" oven and have a 8" pipe and it is about 5' high it works very well. I would suggest you get the 7" if you cant get the eight. But try to source the 8" pipe. Last edited by FIREANDFLAMES; 06-02-2010 at 04:50 AM. Reason: wrong numbers |

| 6 or 7" will almost work but I will guarantee that you will get abundant smoke out your front entry on light up. 8' is recommended and necessary and I will also add that a good funneled entry to your chimney will also help prevent smoke out the front and the chimney drawing well at all times. It is well worth the searching and maybe the added expense to get it right at this construction stage rather than trying to fix the problem later. Neill

| " help prevent smoke out the front and the chimney drawing well at all times." Having smoke come out the front during firing is not a problem for me. Many of the pizza ovens you see in places like Croatia and Sicily have no chimney/vent. |
