Default 'yard oven'

Check this puppy out. A friend who knew I was interested in WFOs found a flyer for one of these 'yard ovens' the other day. It basically looks like a tandoor style oven with a pizza stone arrangement on top.

Granite Works

I imagine it'd be a better tandoor oven than a pizza cooker, but I suppose if you keep the fire underneath hot enough it'd work. Stick a bellows in the base air inlet and I'm sure you'd get enough heat. Not sure about their ability to cook roasts or bread, though. The cooking space doesn't look big enough, and the lid doesn't look insulated like the base, so heat would bleed out fairly quickly.

Overall, I'd say it's a nice alternative for someone with very little space and/or who doesn't want to go through the building process. Not sure about the shape. I keep looking at the picture on the flyer (the pdf) and thinking ... dalek. I'd be far too tempted to glue half spheres on the base and give it base-drum-stick 'eye' ... exterminate, exterminate ...
