Default What are the different styles of ovens?

I am new to the wood fired ovens. I would like to know the different styles of ovens. If possible a definition or a picture of each kind. (maybe some one already asked the question)
I would like to build an oven in the future and would like to know the best kind to build. It would be for personal use not commercial.

Please help me out.

Hey Fullback,

Muscle cars and muscle ovens. :-)

Here is a good link to get you started. It's an explanation on why we recommend a traditional round Italian oven for personal use.

http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f2/w...s-round-2.html (Why Italian Wood-Fired Ovens are Round)

It's a good place to start.

Fullback,

Here's another link you should find useful: Forno Bravo's free Pompeii Oven plans. That's the oven 99% of us are building here:

http://www.fornobravo.com/pompeii_ov...peii_oven.html

Read through them with a fine-tooth comb. There are lots of pictures, details, and ideas.

Ken
Is there a way to down load all the information without the top bars or side bars. When I print out a page it adds all the extra top bar and side bars. I just want the information on the web page.

thanks,

Here's the link to the PDF manual for the Pompeii oven plans. It's free, but to download, you add it to your shopping cart then go through the check-out process. Again, you won't be charged and you will receive a link to download the PDF E-Book. I printed mine out and put it in a binder. Much easier than going through the website.

Ken,
I thought I found it until you showed me how to do it.
Now I have the right download.
