Default Vermiculite insulation

Finally after lurking in the background for a few months, thank you for all the great information. I started my oven project 3 weeks ago, I finished the base and 2 days ago I poured the hearth insulation of vermiculite, which brings me to my question, the vemiculite that I bought was very fine not as coarse as the one I have seen in some of the forum pictures is that going to have the same insulating propeties as the coarse one?
