| Hi Just signed onto the site. My oven is now part built upto the insulating layer of vermiculite/cement. I've found a supplier of fire bricks at £1.05/brick and think I'm going to go with that - But now trying to find a reasonably priced supplier of fire clay. I'm base in cambridgeshire UK, can anyone recommend some suppliers for fire clay and fire bricks? Heres a picture showing my oven so far: Bob |

| Hi Bob, I bought my fireclay from Midland Refractories, West Bromwich, B70 944, Tel 0121 5253344. A 25kg bag is about £7.00. I also bought refractory mortar from them but I do not recommend that stuff at all. They also sell fire board and insulation blankets etc. Cheers, Jochen |
