 Refmix Spec Sheet Refrax is a great refractory mortar designed specifically for wood-fired ovens and fireplaces. It has a graphic of a pizza oven on the packaging, so you know it's the right stuff. The producer of the Forno Bravo Artigiano ovens uses it, and you can find Refrax at just about any building supply store in Italy. It's heat resistant to 1700F, it's easy to work with, it dries extremely hard, it can be used outside, and it sets fast. Forno Bravo has started importing large quantities of Refrax for both Forno Bravo pizza oven and firplace installation and for Pompeii Oven builders.
