Refmix and Gable House design

1. How many bags of Refmix are recommended for a 36" oven?

2. I'm ready to pour the vermiculite layer of the hearth. I am planning on building a gable house design. Should I have an outer rim of concrete in which to screw my frame?

3. I see the use of metal framing and concrete boarding for the gable house design. Are metal trusses used also instead of wood? What is the roof constructed with? Concrete boarding too?
