Hello, I'm studying everything with a fine tooth comb before I begin work on a 42" Pompeii. I noticed the website and PDF materials lists show dimensions of: Foundation - 80" x 94" Block Stand - 72" x 84" Then on p.13 of the PDF and http://www.fornobravo.com/pompeii_oven/foundation.html The recommended dimensions are: Foundation - 77" x 86" Block Stand - 69" x 76" Why are they different? Is this an oversight, slightly different design or am I missing something? Cordially, Ken

Based on some recent discussion on some of the threads here your other option is to build it slightly big. You can always make a smaller floor and dome and have room left over for insulation. It is a bit trickier when you near the end and realize that you are tight space wise

Thanks for the responses. I like the "build it slightly bigger" approach. Seems like I can design a block layout that will involve less cutting. I'll try not to make rocket science out of this and keep it simple! Ken
