Default mixture of vermiculite

so is this right 6 shoval fulls of vermiculite to 1 shoval full of portland cement then mix with water.and troll out.

You're going to find that vermiculite concrete is weird stuff, it's nothing like smoothing and floating concrete with conventional aggregates. You're going to use your trowel to pat it into place, the goal is to slightly compact the top surface, rather than draw a slurry of wet cement to the surface.

All in all though, your description sounds about right. I used a 5 to 1 ratio. Your's may work a bit better for its intended purpose.
