Default Glass and Salt Heart?

Hi, I'm at the point to build the heart, and I saw some hornos de barro or "mud ovens" in which they use glass and salt,
Is that better than vermiculite?

Default Re: Glass and Salt Hearth?

In a word....no...... I see no insulative elements in either...not to mention that salt melts in water...
