Default flue and chimney height

I noticed that most ovens on this forum have a 2 ft flue height. Mine is only 1 ft.

I was wondering if I should exchange it for a 2 ft flue, or just raise the height of where I place the flue, by adding 4 more courses of brick.

Can anyone suggest which would be better

Thanks,

Valerie

Thumbs up Re: flue and chimney height

The higher the chimney, the better they draw, so if you don't want smoke out the front of your arch, increase the height. Mine is 10' high and goes up through the patio/outdoor kitchen roof.
Cheers.
