ceramic fiberboard?

I have a question for you. I just received my ceramic fiberboard and can start construction. My hearth has a high spot in the center and the fiberboard does not lay completely flat. What would be the best material to level it up? I was thinking of fire clay and sand or fire clay sand and portland cement. Help me out here let me know what you think.
