| Hi all, I am have trouble getting my hands on Mortar Clay or Fire Clay, up here in the tropics. So I went to an art suppler and they have Clay powder that can withstand temperatures to 800 centigrade. Can I use this in the dome mortar instead of Mortar Clay/Fire Clay...? Cheers |

| Anyplace that can get powdered clay, a pottery supply, will be able to get you fireclay. It's better and cheaper. As far as art clays, there are literally hundreds of them. It would be hard to comment without knowing the specific product.
