Afew questions about fireclay and insulating boards

Ok, This is my first post. I have already built my stand and have purchased firebrick. I have read somewhere that the insulation board sort of disintagrates if it gets wet, and since I have concrete to set my oven on, I am concerned about the concrete sweating and eventually my oven floor caving in. I thought about covering the board with aluminum foil to keep it dry. Any thoughts? Also I have read about different mortar, I was planing on usiing a fireclay. Is this correct?
