Right after I took the picture, I shoveled a path to the oven......

Can you Fire it in that weather? Would be interesting to demonstrate the thermal properties of the insulation when fired... no or little snow melted... just a thought though.

here's a pic from the last snow storm... the snow NEVER melted off the top off the dome...

I plowed out this morning and it started again this afternoon. It is still snowing. Here's a picture from Ocean County NJ.

holy crap burnt,,

you guys got bombed worse than us,,,

good luck shoveling,, they plowed my driveway over 2 x (uggggg) my arms hurt and my back is sore........

Seven o'clock this morning. The electricity went on an hour ago. Thank God for those linemen and women. I wouldn't want to be working in a bucket truck all night last night. Our 100 year old cook stove did it's work again. Wood heats best. That's for sure. Check out this picture this morning. I gotta get the old tractor warmed up to plow out now.

My oven holds heat great in the snow. There was still snow on the dome this morning after last night's firing.
We got 26" in Evansburg, PA.

I would if I weren't so tired from plowing out this morning. Five hours on the tractor slows ya down in the cold.

The first pic is how my oven looked when I first started it today, the second pic is after 3 1/2 hours...... my insulation is definitely working.......
