Default Outer insulation radiant barrier?

I am building my first wood fired oven and have been studying this forum and various plans. I am wondering if anyone has tried building a foil radiant barrier on the outside of the insulation layer, and before any additional vermiculite.
It seems to me this could speed the heat up time and could help with heat retention.
