Default SoCal Farm stands / markets / Wood

In South Orange County the farm stand with the most is South Coast Farms in San Juan Capistrano.

I get my Almond wood at the El Toro Y

Chris,

Tell me more. I work in Lake Forest, my oldest daughter stables her horse in San Juan, and I live in Orange. What's this about the El Toro Y?

I wish I had the name and phone of the place, but If you know where "Wild Rivers" water park is, the firewood vendor is north toward the 405 from the water park. Just drive in like you're going to the park and stay right at the park. Nice people, Oak, Almond, Euc, and I think they get Orange wood from time to time. When I was young we always burned Orange wood. It burned hot and didn't pop like some wood does.

Tanaka Farms
5380 3/4 University Dr.
Irvine, Ca 92612
949-653-2100 office
949-653-2256 Produce Stand

Both South Coast and Tanaka Farms do fresh produce box subscriptions, picked up at the stand and a few other locations. Tanaka is working with my son's school to provide boxes for sale and will rebate 16% of the subscriptions back to the school.

PS.
This one is also a great stand for those in the San Diego area.

Chino Farms farm stand.

I believe the name of the firewood yard at the El Toro Y is:

Woodhill Firewood
949-837-9663

Going south: exit the 405 going into the Wild Rivers/Verizon Amphitheater and go into the park grounds. Bear to the right and you'll run right into the yard. They do not take credit cards.

Woodhill Firewood will be moving from it's current location to the far west end of Bake Pkwy. This move is to be complete by April 1 2011.
