| I wanted to order the RefMix but shipping turned out to be a deal killer. Now I am looking for places that sell the Heat Stop 50 in the NYC area, or anywhere between NYC and Waterbury CT (go there regularly on weekends). Any help would be appreciated. Found a few places that have the premix pails for HeatStop but none that have the dry mix. thanks |

| Found this message that had some sources for Heat Stop in the area: http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f44/...ork-10727.html (Fire bricks and fireclay suppliers in New York City area) Also - for firebricks within NYC, this places sells them. $250 minimum purchase, not the cheapest but when you factor in getting them into Brooklyn (where I live) it was a good price and did not require taking time off to travel outside of NY to pick them up. They also have the 'floor tile' sized fire bricks which I did not realize when I placed an order but maybe someone else can take advantage of. | Thanks dmun. I had known about them but they don't have Saturday hours. A friend is doing me a HUGE favor and running over there to pickup the mortar. Are you using insulating boards under your oven? Were you able to find them on the east coast? |

I think Progressive has Saturday hours in the summer. Give them a call. Again, their prices are worth the trip.

| Hi guys, thanks for the leads. Went from having a hard time finding the stuff to finding that it will be easy to get. Awesome. Dmun, you rock! I did not notice they had summer hours. It is now posted on their site (7-12). I am still very thankful to have a good friend who was going to go get the mortar me (plus he has been helping on the project too, can't say enough about this guy -> Thanks David!). And thanks for the leads on the boards Dmun. I am heading to VA in a couple of weeks and should be able to swing a stop for the boards at Kraemer Gunnite. What is H-W btw? |
